From the word “go”, Brian and Emily had our attention. They are in love and full of pure joy! Now, there’s a little thing that we Love Tree girls enjoy and that is the energy that this couple puts off. So with that we had a blast at their engagement session and we are looking so forward to documenting their beautiful wedding!!! And we have one thing to say…..Brian, we can’t wait to see your new (then) wifey with that sweet puppy someday soon!

Esther + Aaron = A Wedding

We recently had the opportunity to travel to the wonderful city of Chicago. What started it all was a friendship that began almost 20 years ago. I, Jessica, spent my best young days with my sweet friend Sarah playing with our collectible horses and such. Many times, under the bedroom door the little fingers of her sister, Esther, would appear followed by a tiny voice asking to play. We, of course, being the too cool for school girls answered no, not knowing that nearly 2 decades later I would be inquired upon with my business partner to photograph the little girl’s wedding.

Introducing Esther & Aaron. An absolutely beautiful couple that you know beyond any doubt were meant to be together. When we arrived, our first meeting with Esther took our breath away. She lit up the room with her beauty as her family gathered around her to prepare her for the day. Their wedding, laced with beautiful Jewish traditions, was courted by the most perfectly weathered day in downtown Chicago.

We were so blessed to have witness such honor within the Jewish faith. It was very powerful and we are so very thankful to have been a part of it all.

Thank you, Esther & Aaron, for choosing us to document your most perfect day. It is obvious that you are loved and your love with last forever.

Love Tree Studios Open House

We seriously had a good time at our Love Tree Open house/Stella & Dot party! So many wonderful people came to celebrate with us!!! Thank you to EVERYONE that came out!! Also a huge thanks to the exquisite vendors who worked with us for our open house in providing the beautiful and tasty treats: The Velvet Cupcake as well as Cherie’s Cake Boutique. Also, to Nate White who played the most amazing background music during the party. Natalie Imhoff had a very special hand in helping us prepare for our event…stemming from her amazing talents as the wedding coordinator for The Bridal Solutions. To top it off, Natalie represented our favorite jewelry line, Stella & Dot. This jewelry is simply beautiful!!! I will say that it was difficult for us to play the host and take photos of everyone at the event. Getting caught up in conversation at your own event and forgetting that the camera is around your neck was a popular moment for us. But we spent fabulous moments with fabulous people and felt every moment of support that was blessed to us.

Thank you again and again for coming out to support us! We definitely felt the love today!

Leanne + Matt

Introducing the wonderful Leanne & Matt. Our time with them was very well spent yesterday. We began our session with them in the very room that they met in the University of Missouri Physics building and enjoyed listening to their great story!! We can relate to beginning a semester class and thinking that we may meet someone of significance in this classroom. Little did these two know that the laws of physics would take part in finding love. We could go into details on how Matt migrated closer and closer to Leanne at the front of the class…or how he tripped her as she walked by to get her attention, it worked and she didn’t really mind. But none so important than the final decision made that they were each others forever.

We are so excited for their upcoming wedding! It is going to be beautiful.

Lauren + Dan = Love

First comes love…and it’s always super sweet when there is a story behind it all. These two lovebirds, Lauren & Dan, first knew of each other through their families. One fateful moment, Dan began his pursuit to gain Lauren’s love and it is true love that they have found! We love his tea light proposal in his family’s backyard playhouse…and she, of course, said yes! They are perfect for each other in so many ways, and they have found the right mix of Mizzou & Ole Miss to keep things interesting. We also spent time with Truman, Laurens dog. He is adorable!! We are so very, very blessed to be a part of their journey!

Congratulations, Lauren & Dan! And thank you so very much for choosing us to show the world through our lens just how beautiful you two are!! We are so excited about your wedding day.

Every year I have the privilege to do sessions with some of my past students. It’s really exciting to see where they are headed in life and who they have become thus far! Introducing Mr. Aaron Brodersen. The sweetest guy in the world!! Books & Music of all kinds were the theme for Mr. Brodersen so we decided to meet in the obvious locations. We first met in a library that required complete silence basically. Aaron listened and followed with ease…ah! He was always such a good student and hasn’t changed a bit. I certainly look forward to hearing of all of his successes in the future.

Congratulations, Aaron! You are amazing!

Introducing Ms. Genevieve Luella Brumfield!!

All 6 lbs of this absolutely adorable honey bee was just too much for my camera!! I was blessed to spend the day in St. Louis with my sweet friends, Gwen & Travis. You may remember momma from her maternity session just a month ago. Well, she’s here and has made the world a better place! I couldn’t decide whether I was more excited about capturing this princess on film or holding such a tiny could-put-her-in-my-pocket-and-leave-baby. Everything about her is simply perfect. She not only has that going for her but she has the most amazing parents in the entire universe!!! God is so good and these two are feeling the impact of His goodness daily now with the sweetness of Evie’s face to her tiny squeak’s.

Thank you, Gwennie & Mr. T, for allowing me to spend time with you all during this moment and tell a tiny piece of your story. Give Peanut a kiss from Auntie Jess, please.

All in a day’s work: LTS for National Geographic

The cats now out of the bag! We’ve been holding this session under our hats since last year. This week the National Geographic Channel premiered their newest season ~ Amish: Out of Order. This documentary will have many viewers intrigued for sure. And how did we get involved? Well, National Geographic contacted Missouri’s very own Cedar Creek Resort to host the location to shoot the final episodes for the season. Our wonderful friends at Cedar Creek gave us the opportunity to be a part of the experience and document what was happening for them. The production company was very methodical in their approach to wrap up the segment as the day closed and we completed our session documenting them documenting their day with the Amish families.

What a fantastic experience for Love Tree Studios!! We thank both Cedar Creek Resort and Shadow Stick Productions for allowing us to be a part of it all!!!

Senior ~ Melissa B.

I’m completely impressed when I meet a senior that has high levels of spunk and tenacity. During my senior year, looking back, I feel that I lacked quite a bit of that (but I still turned out pretty cool ). Yesterday I spent time with one of the coolest Seniors ever, Ms. Melissa B. She is seriously ready to take on the world and I believe she will! We had oodles of time (or so we thought) to make our presence known in our hotspots around COMO and found ourselves basking in the beautiful sunset rays on a hilltop in the end. But let me not forget her incredible sidekick ~ Harley!!! This dog is AWESOME!! Yes, we did enjoy the Sparky’s dog likeness as did many who passed us on the sidewalk during the session. But she, all around, made the session complete being shot side-by-side with her momma, Melissa. And kudos to Melissa’s mom for all of your help!!! You may recognize this pretty face from a prom session that we did with her and her date last semester. We had a blast!!!

So with that ~ I want to congratulate you, Melissa, on all of your accomplishments and for all of your drive and spunk that can take you ANYWHERE you want to go!
