Love Tree Studios is Growing!!

Hello beautiful friends!! We are excited to finally unveil our formal introduction to our new Love Tree Studios location. Let’s just say we needed more space and it was the easiest move that we’ve ever accomplished. Literally one door down…nice. So double the space = double the fun! Plus we have an added bonus within the new studio…that is an ACTUAL STUDIO!!!! Be on the watch for our next post regarding the studio where we will reveal our exciting Love Tree plans for it all! We are so excited for the rest of 2013! Our wedding season begins in 2 weeks. We will also be sharing some more wonderful announcements within the coming days.

Kyle Tonnies : An LTS Senior Session

Meet Kyle. He’s a senior at Rock Bridge High School and I had the pleasure of spending some time with him last week as we ran all around town while I got to photograph his dapper smile…which I might say is contagious! His girlfriend Kayla came along too and was my excellent assistant who helped bring out those smiles in Kyle. I’m happy to say that I made two new friends and all three of us had way too much fun! Mission accomplished!!

Introducing the fabulous Caitie Howard!!! This girl is the real deal, made for the spot light and comes with not excuses. It was so great to spend a little time with her to see the light behind those eyes seriously sparkle for the camera. I wouldn’t put it past her to continue a love affair with the camera/stage long after her senior year. She’s built for it through and through!!

Congratulations, Caitie, on your Graduation!! We look forward to seeing your beautiful face more and more in the spotlight!!

Jared : Senior

I had a great time with Jared last Friday during his senior session. His easy-going spirit made the shoot so fun and enjoyable! And…to top it all off, he is a very talented musician. He brought along various musical instruments and serenaded us while the shoot was in process. If there’s one thing I love…it’s taking photos while listening to some beautiful acoustic guitar!

Introducing our newest beautiful Love Tree Studios Senior, Miss Taylor. I met Taylor years ago and was not at all shocked to see how beautiful she has grown up to be. Finishing up her Senior year in Africa she will be coming back to the states with a head full of amazing experiences and a very bright future!! In my personal opinion…I think that Taylor should take up modeling!! (oh did i just type that out loud?) Yep, I’m serious. Her family is amazing and full of love. With this session came an additional bonus! Taylor was accompanied by her adorable boyfriend, Nik!! Ok, I must share with you that….he’s from Greece…how great is that?!! They are super adorable together. It was a treat to watch her smile at the very site of him. And total points for picking out the boots for the shoot, Nik!

Congratulations, Taylor!! You are beautiful through and through and I look forward to watching your future unfold!

Garrett = Senior

Have you ever met a kid one day, young and well ~ your basic kid…and then one day you met them again. POW! Their spark is crazy loud and just their knowing of who they are supposed to be is about to unload itself onto the world. Enter Garrett. Yep, he’s that kid. The longer our session went the more awakened vibes I witnessed. And boy can this guy dance!!! Watch out So You Think You Can Dance contestants. We feel it as an honor to be chosen to capture such a momentous occasion in peoples lives. It’s so exciting!!

Congrats, Garrett! We look forward to see all of your dreams come true.

Senior ~ Aaron B.

Every year I have the privilege to do sessions with some of my past students. It’s really exciting to see where they are headed in life and who they have become thus far! Introducing Mr. Aaron Brodersen. The sweetest guy in the world!! Books & Music of all kinds were the theme for Mr. Brodersen so we decided to meet in the obvious locations. We first met in a library that required complete silence basically. Aaron listened and followed with ease…ah! He was always such a good student and hasn’t changed a bit. I certainly look forward to hearing of all of his successes in the future.

Senior ~ Melissa B.

I’m completely impressed when I meet a senior that has high levels of spunk and tenacity. During my senior year, looking back, I feel that I lacked quite a bit of that (but I still turned out pretty cool ). Yesterday I spent time with one of the coolest Seniors ever, Ms. Melissa B. She is seriously ready to take on the world and I believe she will! We had oodles of time (or so we thought) to make our presence known in our hotspots around COMO and found ourselves basking in the beautiful sunset rays on a hilltop in the end. But let me not forget her incredible sidekick ~ Harley!!! This dog is AWESOME!! Yes, we did enjoy the Sparky’s dog likeness as did many who passed us on the sidewalk during the session. But she, all around, made the session complete being shot side-by-side with her momma, Melissa. And kudos to Melissa’s mom for all of your help!!! You may recognize this pretty face from a prom session that we did with her and her date last semester. We had a blast!!!

So with that ~ I want to congratulate you, Melissa, on all of your accomplishments and for all of your drive and spunk that can take you ANYWHERE you want to go!

We are so blessed to say that Love Tree Studios has had another successful year! You, our clients, have knocked our socks off with your amazing smiles. Even saying the number 2012 leaves a strange, not ready for it, ringing in many individuals ears. But to us it’s another invitation to the next level of creativity. Miss Leah : Senior Session

Today was a GREAT day! Today I got to photograph a very special senior name Leah. Before the shoot began, I was worried : the weather was not cooperating with me. It was windy, cloudy and gloomy…all things that we dread for a shoot. But…I pulled myself together, did my sun dance (I’ll admit I stole it from Jess) and forged ahead…full of optimism and hope that the sun WOULD come out. It really would…right? It just had to!

When Leah and her mom met me I was instantly glad that I hadn’t let the gloomy day get to me. This gorgeous bubbly girl jumped out of the car and started displaying all of the outfits she had brought for the shoot. And man…did she have some style! Not only did she have a ton of clothes to choose from, but some of them were even her mother’s from when she was Leah’s age. How cool is that?

And guess what? Just when we needed it, the sun came out. I’d like to think it was my sun dance….but I have a feeling that wherever Leah goes…the sun will follow.

So thank you Leah. For not only making my day SO much better, but for allowing me to capture your beauty.

Senior Stone

Yes, it was another fine senior session day where I was once again reminded of time. This strapping young man still exist as a very young wide eyed little boy in my head. But all of that has definitely changed.

Mr. Stone Laguna is ready for the world. His sweet mother, my friend Penny, shares the same idea that the home University is best for him…I’ll be that way to for sure. It’s just so fantastic to watch the little ones become there own and change into wonderful people. I’m blessed to be a part of yet another beginning…

Sarah = Sweet

Sarah = Sweet and that’s what she’s all about. I spent some wonderful time with Sarah and her momma Teresa today. It was especially inviting that Sarah and her mom have such a sweet presence about them. It makes me smile!! Sarah’s Puppy’s, Stitch and Simeon, where loveable and it just compounded the whole afternoon with as one big piece of wonderful Miss Sarah is finishing up her senior year and moving upward and onward! She has such a love for her pups that she is stepping into the world of pro dog trainers!! I’ll pass her card around when she gets them printed for sure.

The World is Her Oyster

Today was the perfect day for a senior session!! We asked ourselves if there was anywhere on the planet that had today’s temps year round? If so, 3 tickets please. It was one of those days where you could hardly feel any temperature at all. Katherine and her wonderful mother, Betsy, joined me for Kat’s senior photo session and we had a good ‘ol time! Of course there is the ever present, “So where are you going to college?” Question. And “What will you be doing with your life, Kat?”…but the world is really her oyster. Katherine is so full of talent and beauty!! We had tentatively planned to do another portion of the session with her horse, Martin. As of right now he is recovering and will be back in action by the spring. Be looking for an additional session come Spring 2012!

So, for whatever path that wonderful girl chooses to take you can be sure to follow Martins hoof prints and find her riding towards the sun… in 76 degree perfect weather.
